Ang photocopy ay hindi original document. Gayunman, hindi awtomatikong invalid ang photocopy. Depende kung ano ang layunin nito at kung pinapayagan ito ng mga patakaran ng impeachment court o ng mga tuntunin sa ebidensya. Kung may tumututol sa photocopy, maaaring hilingin na ipakita ang original o ipaliwanag kung bakit photocopy lamang ang naisumite. Kaya kung ang tanong ay, "Original ba ang photocopy?" ang sagot ay hindi.

Literally, medyo misleading lang kasi pag sinabi mong "original" ang reproduction. Legally, mas tama na sabihing "equivalent" as long as certified true copy ito na attested with markings ng may hawak ng original document. AND, anytime pwedeng maipakita ang original to prove its validity as an "exact" copy. Best example ang birth certificate at true copy of grades (TCG).
