@fisherzhangs_in_china: I genuinely feel like almost every little family-run restaurant in China is owned by some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. It's actually become a bit of a tradition for us: whenever we visit somewhere new, we deliberately seek out the most random little local restaurants because we know there's a good chance we'll meet some wonderful people. This time was no exception. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming, and it only reinforced my visiting British parents' impression of the Chinese people. One of the things they've appreciated most during their time here is just how friendly, kind, and genuinely welcoming people have been to them as foreign visitors.
