It was sudden, a whirlwind romance, but we just knew deep down that we were for one another. We both felt like we had come home. Let me tell you 24 years on and 3 boys later our marriage hasn’t been a Hollywood movie, far from it; it’s been a mad wild ride where we’ve at times had to hold onto each other for dear life. We’ve weathered illness and debt, pain and fear, grief and disagreements. Yet our love has been the steady heartbeat. We’ve learned over time that true love isn’t flawless; it’s persevering, patient, trusting and believing against the odds. It’s refusing to give up on one another.
