This what India Arie talking about It was the start of the school year, a year ago , I had a group of 10 year old urban kids, mostly our kids ! I made up this game to get to know them : The question? what is your favorite (hot dogs vs hamburgers , beach vs pool , house vs apartment, etc.) Each student had an opportunity to express why they liked one over the other . So I decided to flip the script! I wanted to see where their heads were . So I said Sexxy Red Vs Doja Cat ! The room exploded with excitement ! Everybody raised their hands at the same time, vying to answer the question! “Pick me! Please pick me ! Some started dancing, banging on desks! It was Sexxy Red 100%across the board ! Answers: I like the beat! , my mom loves it! I like the way she dances! . It’s dope! one 10 year old said.
