@lyqamaravilla: Replying to @Macky or… maybe it’s God Himself revealing how that is not the right place for you. 😉 #realtalk #PayoNiAteLyqa #religionvsfaith
My isolation made me know God even more. To this day I don’t attend any church, but my faith is stronger than when I was attending one. So, it’s okay to leave. God will meet them where He wants to meet them.

it took me 10 years to forgive our pastor 😭 all I can say, time can heal and other church community can really help on that process. Yung naka ranas lang talaga makaka intindi.

“Nakikita niya na yung sinasabi sa kaniya na gawin e binabali nung mismong nagsasabi sa kaniya.” I agree. Sometimes church hurt isn’t just about what was said or done, it’s about seeing a gap between what is PREACHED and what is PRACTICED. Words teach, but example leaves the deepest impact. ❤️🩹

while saying this (the comment) without bad intentions, the statement actually sort of removes the weight of the accountability for the church to bear :)) i've been in both situations, but i'm blessed to find a community where accountability exists. let's not just focus solely on the person who got hurt and bear the weight to them, but rather let's also check on why they got hurt in the first place. accountability inside a church goes a long way, and the church should always be accountable with its people, not the other way around. while accountability allows others to see the imperfect side of it, it also makes room for change and for building a healthier community :) so, let's not erase accountability by making these statements (the comment)

This is true. There is no perfect church but there is a healthy church— this is also why community is important because it is there not just for encouragement or equipping the congregation but especially for accountability

Whether or not you have a denomination or religion, what matters most is your personal relationship with Him. It breaks my heart to see these situations; I pray for the healing of whoever needs it. 🙌❤️🩹

I think it depends on the motive of the person whose saying it. Is it for the purpose of wanting the person to stay in the church and to invalidate his/her feelings? OR you say it genuinely for the purpose of helping that person to be restored in all aspects? And as to attending the fellowship in the church, “and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.”
Hebrews 10 : 24 - 25 AMP

Hindi naman biblical yung wag titingin sa tao. You know what's biblical? "beware of false prophets who come in sheep's clothing... By their fruits you will know them." so paano i-apply to kung wag titingin sa tao? Very contradicting sya.
