@dushmanim: Körotonomedya (kör otonom medya, literally "blind autonomous media") was a Turkish autonomist media and cultural collective founded in the early 1990s by a group of artists, filmmakers, theorists, and activists, including Ulus Baker. Influenced by Italian Autonomist Marxism, post-structuralist philosophy, and independent media movements, the collective sought to develop alternative forms of cultural and political production outside both state institutions and commercial media. Its activities combined experimental video, documentary filmmaking, critical theory, contemporary art, and political intervention. Rather than functioning as a conventional political organization, Körotonomedya operated as a collaborative network for intellectual and artistic experimentation. Its members viewed media not merely as a means of communication but as a site of political struggle, emphasizing the production of new forms of perception, subjectivity, and collective organization. The collective became an important vehicle for introducing autonomist political theory, particularly the ideas of Antonio Negri, Gilles Deleuze, and Félix Guattari, into Turkey through publications, translations, audiovisual works, and public discussions. Although never a mass organization, Körotonomedya exerted a lasting influence on Turkey's independent media, contemporary art, and critical intellectual culture. #fyp #targetaudience #ulusbaker #autonomism #körotonommedya
