@birdlifemalta: Two exhausted migratory birds on a ship. One incredible journey back to the wild. A Nightjar (Buqrajq) and a Common Kestrel (Spanjulett) arrived at our wildlife rehabilitation centre in critical condition after being found on board a ship at the Birżebbuġa Freeport. Thanks to weeks of intensive veterinary care and rehabilitation, both birds recovered and were safely released. Before her release, the Common Kestrel was fitted with a GPS transmitter, funded through this year's Walk for Nature. She was then released by the event's winners, helping us learn more about her movements and survival in the wild. Every rescue gives a bird another chance. Thank you to everyone who supports our wildlife rehabilitation work.
