This is actually kinda good, I think. Tax dollars coming from more employees and the company. These old guys get to hang around and continue to make a comfortable living without straining social service programs. It’s almost just an extra form of taxation for Japanese corporations, and I’d argue it’s probably a big piece of why all of their public infrastructure can be maintained so well.

🩺 General Hospital Recap – Thursday, July 16, 2026 Thursday’s episode was filled with emotional confrontations, painful truths, and hopeful new beginnings. Josslyn found herself carrying an enormous burden as Obrecht questioned her about Cassius and the events on Spoon Island. Although Joss continued blaming Cassius for everything that happened, viewers saw her true feelings after Obrecht left. Alone in her hospital room, she quietly apologized to Cassius, revealing just how much guilt she’s carrying over sacrificing his reputation to secure Jason and Valentin’s freedom. Anna and Britt finally came face-to-face, and it wasn’t a friendly reunion. Anna demanded answers about Cassius impersonating Nathan, while Britt insisted she had been manipulated by Sidwell and Cullum after believing she was dying. Anna wasn’t ready to forgive, comparing Britt and Cassius to Faison and accusing them of exploiting people’s weaknesses. Their painful conversation ended with both women agreeing it was best to stay out of each other’s lives. Meanwhile, Trina and Gio celebrated exciting news after their successful showcase. The pair received a recording contract offer as a musical duo, but Emma questioned whether Gio was pursuing music for himself or simply supporting Trina’s dream. Gio admitted he wasn’t sure what the future held but knew he’d regret never taking the opportunity. At General Hospital, Curtis finally met his newborn son as Stella encouraged the Ashford family to put years of conflict behind them. The baby’s arrival offered a rare moment of peace and hope, even as lingering tensions with Isaiah remained just beneath the surface. The most heartbreaking scenes belonged to Cody and James. Knowing the truth couldn’t wait any longer, Cody gently explained that the man James believed was Nathan wasn’t actually his father. James refused to believe him until Obrecht sadly confirmed the devastating truth. Overcome with grief and confusion, James lashed out at Cody, making for one of the episode’s most emotional moments. Thursday’s episode reminded us that healing isn’t easy. Some wounds take time, some truths are painful to hear, and sometimes a new beginning starts only after the hardest conversations have been had. What was your favorite moment? Do you think Josslyn will eventually tell the truth about Cassius? Can Anna ever forgive Britt? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! #GeneralHospital #GHRecap #SoapOpera #PortCharles #DaytimeDrama
