One time I was watching a friends baby. I noticed them standing up and realized THEY WERE ABOUT TO TAKE THEIR FIRST STEP. I wasn’t close enough to grab them and swoop them up so I nudged them with my foot so they’d plop back on the floor. Then I carried them and did activities til mom came to pick them up. I didn’t say a word. Later I got a text that baby took their first step.

I babysat a little girl for my cousin, the baby took her first steps while I was watching her, i absolutely did not tell her mom, but the next day when mom dropped her off she told us she took her first steps that night 😭😭😭
