Most of the time, I continue working after 5 p.m., and sometimes I work until 2 or 3 a.m. I know this is not healthy, but as an immigrant here without close friends or family nearby, work has become the cheapest and easiest way for me to spend my time and distract myself. My family cannot visit because of visa issues, and I often feel alone. I am not saying this as an excuse, but to explain why I sometimes keep working late even when I know I should stop.
