@the_immigration_lady: It is required for you as the applicant to apply for your visa renewal or extension 60 days prior to the Visa expiring however this is not commonly known by anyone know is stipulated on the actual Visa that you need to apply 60 days before your Visa is expiring. It would be a great idea if the department of home fees could still like this on the Visa when the Visa is issued or upon entry of South Africa when you are entering on a visitor Visa##immigration##VisaExtension##ImmigrationSouthAfrica

sometimes there are no appointments at VFS or even the premium lounge. I just bow down to them and screenshot the lack of the appointments at VFS and give a letter apologizing for the late renewal due to xyz

it was a deliberately move, students get acceptance letters to proceed after their marks comes out like November and your visa will expire on the 31 December. that means you'll be rejected
