Its truly a great game, but if you're playing the newest version (Zodiak Age) it is a lot easier than the two previous versions. It might actually be one of the best FF games, because truthfully the entire series is pretty overrated and carried by nostalgia. I replayed FFX recently and have trouble believing people really think its a masterpiece.

I'm so glad to find someone else who finds ffxii as boring as I did. The combat was the same in 13, you couldn't actually play the game since it played for you.

Final Fantasy post FFX era was weirdly experimental..they tried direct sequels, new battle systems and spin-offs..it was always a weird gamble from what I thought was a confident and secure dynasty of JRPG's. Maybe an attempt to stay relevant in a rapidly changing gaming landscape? BUT then I remember Dragon Quest is still the king of JRPG's and they haven't changed shit...

I agree with you on one thing, it was a boring fight but almost in all FF games, once you get overpowered all final bosses are super easy, but in every FF game has a Superboss who’s not easy at all

I enjoyed 12. Especially the zodiac version. Definitely wasn’t as memorable of a last boss but still a good game
