Home astronomy has come such a long way. That’s so cool that you can get pictures like this from home so easily!

milky way satellites actually are the two brightest galaxies you can see from earth, the large and small maggelanic clouds, but they're only visible on the southern hemisphere, here's an image i took of the large one

Great. Now I'm currently mourning the possibility that lifeforms in our galaxy, in a few billion years from now, won't have such a cool night sky 😭

Lets use the actual term, satillite. As in, the Moon is a satillite of Earth.

I wonder why not build a true space station? in space, not in orbit. doesnt need to be huge, but we build massive ships, so its possible, expensive yes.

M110 feels like something that should have a name, not just a catalog number

I wish I could afford a scope. I’m in naked eye astronomer, and with these naked eyes I can see the moon or if I’m really lucky - the Sun on a cloudless day. 😏 Come to think of it, I probably shouldn’t do astronomy and during the day.

that's all unproven theory that has no proof to them at all. the universe isn't expanding, red light shift only shows movement not expansion.

as long as society doesn't completely crumble I can bet 100% one day our technology will advance enough to be able to see any system we want and be able to send probes and hopefully we will have figured out how to reach near speed of light travel and I'm sure we can do all of that long before any of the farthest Galaxy's disappear reaching any of them would be a matter of time

KingofLag :
question then if it's expanding besides solar system an maybe some nearby stars we won't ever get to go to another place in star travel?
