It’s 915 MHz radio. It’s called a mesh network. Lora just means long range. Look up Meshtastic

Now, because he did not give all of the details. This is not a cellphone, it is not the internet, LoRa is a Low power wide area radio. But still a radio, which means you have to be in range of the other person, depending on location, 0.5-3 miles. Unless ofcourse you have mutiple Nodes to extend the range. meaning if you want any range at all you need to set up a network.

the problem is network... distance is small and you need other users to pass your msgs if you plan to text to ppl few km from you.... its great when you kess then 1 km fro. each other's...
