@revishaan: Leaving the UK doesn't automatically mean: ❌ No student loan. ❌ No UK tax. **Student loan:** If you move abroad for more than 3 months, you must tell the Student Loans Company. If you earn above the overseas repayment threshold for the country you're living in, you'll still have to repay. **Tax:** If you become **non-UK tax resident** under the Statutory Residence Test (SRT), you generally won't pay UK tax on your overseas salary. However, you may still pay UK tax on certain UK-source income (e.g. UK rental income or work carried out in the UK). it's not a criminal offence though. all that will happen is that when you come back to the uk repayments will continue as normal, although you will have accrued a lot of interest.
