@tylerhynes: Firsts. Lasts. Hold onto the little things.. So many of you have shared your personal journeys with me over the years. I felt it only right to return the kindness. 🤍 These moments are lovely and fleeting. I found myself driving and ending up in places I haven’t seen in years. Wasn’t until later that I thought that these little clips I filmed, for I don’t know why, might tell a story of a moment that others might relate to. It’s the textures more than the events themselves that help me remember. Putting my father’s very heavy ashes in the back seat of his old beat up convertible and putting the top down. Something he’d do shirtless. …I’ve inherited this technique. I’ve always loved returning to things in my mind. Perhaps a lifetime in a job where it’s nature demands reflection. The textures of this moment will last. Funny that @lucidmotors will forever be apart of it. Take in the details, they’ll help you find your way back. When you need to. Thanks @mrsjennylatz and your team for being apart of these last few months. They’ve been unique and wouldn’t be the same without you. The last couple months have been rich and vivid in a lot of ways and I thank everyone for your kindnesses. I’ve always been proud of my family, but never more than in this moment. I hope this post finds you in the right way 🙏🏻🤍
I had woken up oddly early days after doing press in New York and finally had a quiet moment to digest the passing of my all time favourite musical artist who’d become a friend when I got a call from my mother.
Leaving my house after overhearing on the phone the paramedics tell my mom that his heart had stopped a while ago and they could relieve my brother and themselves of continuing the CPR, I was faced with a simple decision. …Which car do I take? These are the strange details that enter these moments.…5 hours to the hospital in a car I barely knew somehow influenced the weeks that followed, in little ways. My brother picking up his friend for a joy ride. My mom in the Frunk watching me skateboard. Charging at the horse barn. Me on an aimless drive finding myself at my elementary school, driving the streets I used to walk, thinking of my first girlfriend and first best friend who’ve both passed too young. All of it life. This life I am grateful for. And you, the reason why I choose to share any of this, so many of you have shared such personal journeys, so I find myself compelled to return that favour.
This post is for you, otherwise I’d happily just keep these precious moments to myself…or the Ma & Bra. :) I hope these thoughts find you well. 🤍

I just lost my husband in January. He was my best friend my only love. It has been so hard living day to day without him. He was 62 and our plans are no more. Thank god for friends and family. I keep going though. I keep trying to live for us.

Going back to the place of all your firsts to say your final goodbye is a heavy circle to close. The journey in between is —— well, it’s legacy. 🥰
