I was 5 years old in 1958 and in kindergarten. Everyone except one boy received the vaccine on a sugar cube, and he contracted polio. (I’m guessing parents may have declined the vaccine.) Thankfully he recovered but was left with a permanent limp.

I’m in my 60’s and I received the Polio vaccine as a child. My dad had a cousin with polio and no one wanted that.

I love these informative videos! I’d love for you to do one on T1D. How it’s completely diff from type 2. How hard it can be to control when doing the same thing daily but various diff readings. Hypo and hyper “hangovers” etc! Misunderstood disease.
