The spring absorb to much energy. That’s why it’s hard to pedal. The bike already has suspension. That’s a lot of energy being absorbed.

what you need is something like a spring that stretches up and down only. So the spring only stretches up and down, not left and right. because there’s nothing stopping it from springing left and right.

I think the only problem with these is there is nothing holding the center from going out the sides. That’s the main stability issue. If you created something that held the center there but let the springs still move the center in the right direction then it would be perfect.

You could also add square hollow metal on the bike rim and inside that hollow metal there’s a spring
