It would’ve been wonderful to see Egypt reach the quarterfinals after an amazing performance today. But to assert that this should have been a foul and a penalty kick for Egypt, and that it was the same as the foul that led to the goal being disallowed it’s just not the case. In my opinion, there is no way that this is ever called a foul. Mo Salah is the person initiating contact. The defender isn’t guilty of a tripping foul.
