I'm so sorry to hear that you experienced this! I am grateful to have a close knit friend group. I started wearing lolita at 24 and am 32 now. I haven't really been active with comms, though I have a few online lolita friends. I still love the fashion and will continue to wear it, but I also just wear it whenever I go out with non-lolita friends. I want everyone to know that you don't need to feel the need to do egl activities if you want to wear lolita. At the end of the day, it's a fashion style, you can wear it when you want.

I totally get you. I was the same way when I was in the scene community… I was trying so hard to get a name for myself while simultaneously breaking my mental health down. But now that I left to became a gyaru, I feel relief. I feel like there isn’t a need to get people to love you.

I know how to feel a bit. I somewhat felt the same way when I was in the EGL community (local) it was very clique like and if you weren't and insider, you had no hope.
