@teresondupuy: Stop saying you were discarded. I know it may feel that way. I know it may feel like someone picked you up, used you, and threw you away when they were done. But when you keep using the word “discarded,” you may be reinforcing a painful subconscious story: That you were trash. That you were disposable. That you were nothing but something someone could throw away. And that is not the truth. Change the language. They were broken. They did not have the capacity. They cared about you in the best way they were capable of caring. They were still operating from unconscious programming that hurts people. That does not excuse what they did. But it does help you get out of the ego drama and back into truth. Because the story you tell about what happened matters. If you keep saying, “I was discarded,” your body keeps hearing, “I was worthless.” But if you say, “They did not have the capacity to love me safely,” your body can begin to understand: This was not about my worth. This was about their wounds. Their limitations. Their unconsciousness. Their inability to meet love with presence. See it for what it is. Not as proof that you were disposable. But as proof that someone who was not whole could not hold what you were offering.
