@lingormkornnaphat: There was a saying that first love never truly leaves you. Lingling Kwong used to laugh at it. Until Orm Kornnaphat became the reason she stopped believing love was enough. It had been three years since they broke up. Three years of pretending they were strangers. Three years of deleting old messages, avoiding their favorite places, and forcing smiles as if their hearts weren’t still broken. "You're getting married?" Lingling asked a mutual friend, forcing a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. The news hit her like a quiet storm. She excused herself quickly before the tears could fall. “So this is how it ends…” Meanwhile, Orm sat alone in her apartment, staring at the wedding invitation on the table. Her name sat beside another woman’s. “I wish it was yours,” she whispered to the empty room. The engagement wasn’t out of love it was only to please their families. She thought Lingling had already moved on. A week before the wedding, fate intervened. It was raining when Lingling ran into a small bookstore. As she reached for a novel, another hand touched the same book. They froze. “Hi…” Lingling’s voice was barely a whisper. “Hi,” Orm replied softly. They ended up in the café next door. The air felt heavy with unspoken feelings. “So… congratulations,” Lingling said quietly. Orm looked down at her coffee. “I’m not happy.” Lingling blinked in surprise. “I’ve never stopped loving you,” Orm confessed, eyes full of pain. “I left because my family didn’t accept us. I thought I was protecting you.” “You should’ve let me choose,” Lingling said, voice breaking. “For three years, every time someone asked what love looked like… I still saw you.” The next morning at the wedding venue, Orm stood in front of the guests with a microphone. “I’m sorry. I can’t marry someone while my heart belongs to another person.” She bowed and walked away. Outside, Lingling was waiting under the clear sky. “You came,” Orm said, smiling through tears. “I finally chose us,” she whispered. Lingling stepped closer and held her gently. “Took you long enough.” Orm laughed softly. “I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you.” “Deal.” This time, they chose each other without fear. Some people are meant to lose one another… only so they can find their way back again. #oneshot #Austory #thaigl #linglingkwong #ormkornnaphat
