could you put a pressure gauge on each line coming out of the priority valve? is the valve just for steering and the cylinders for the booms?

Dont know anything about sprayers but priority valve is usually to give priority to steering and brakes. Do the brakes work properly? Or does that even have hydraulic brakes? Just bypass it for what you are doing will probably be fine.

The engine being in there "backwards" seems like it makes it easier to work on the hydraulics!
