I have a question: I have worked with thickening agents before. But for printing-pastes not drinks. I learned that to thinn a paste out after thickening it, it's more effective to add a Salt-Solution (not Tablesalt/ NaCl) rather then normal water. Something about free Ions breaking the chains formed by the thickener. My question is: Does this aply to this thickener as well and/or are drinks with a lot of Salts/Ions/Electrolytes "harder" to thicken?
