Some people are not familiar with computer stuff, so here let me inform some of you Loading the enemy’s data into memory right before the player sees can cause problems because the game may not finish loading everything in time. This may end up the enemy showing up on the screen late, and much more. I’m not siding with valve I hate their anticheat however its funny some of you think valve haven’t thought of something as simple as this.

fog of war is a very standard practice in competitive videogames and cs has it as well, the problem is - if you get data late it really sucks. Let's take this to the highest extent: imagine your client only gets data about other people's position only when you can see a pixel of them, if you have high ping and are getting wide swung the other player will spawn on your screen mid swing. If you are wondering why can cheaters see the whole map - it is (from my understanding as someone who is in gamedev but does not have a ton of knowledge about cs) because cheats can essentially fake some data sent to server to get the data they need for wall hacks. And what is shown in the video is just a demonstration of how cs works normally without the cheats that try and get that extra data

They implemented this (but way worse) in csgo around 2017 i think, enemies would not render outside of viewable area in a sense, but in cs2 they didn’t

csgo had something simmilar and it was way better as there were no issues with peekers advantage and players not rendering due to high ping
