When I was a child therapist, my kid clients often asked and found out that I didn’t have kids. Instead of saying I should be a mom, they said well you should be a teacher cause you’re so good with kids :-) I’ll never forget that sweetness and acceptance.

I live with my bestie and her family. I love my nieces and nephew, and am currently babysitting the kiddos while she and her husband work. I lost my job a few weeks ago. But as soon as mom and dad come back, my shift I go take a nice, long nap.

I (firmly childfree) absolutely love hanging out with my friend’s child at our dog sport events. Someone once made the comment “you’re so great with her, must be time for one of your own”. Before I could answer my friend snapped back “she’s so great with her because she gets to hand her back at the end of the day. Not everyone wants to take a child home with them everyday” 😂😂 love my friend!!

I get told I'd be a good mom and when I tell people I won't ever be a mom, and they try to call me selfish I literally look at them and ask, "Why is it selfish I want to continue to live?" That's when they realize that my choice was taken from me because my body can't handle a pregnancy and a pregnancy will kill me
