I went to caliber collision, worst place. I brought up the concerns because the wheel lug nuts weren’t tightened all the way, they used after market parts which made my front bumper not stay on. I took it 3 or 4 times back with no fix to what happened. I argued with them because there was so many more issues.

Always get multiple estimates from multiple LOCALLY OWNED body shops NEVER a corporate body shop! You should have copy of all estimates including from your insurance company. Always tell them you want OEM parts and make sure they put them on and don’t use used/aftermarket parts to fix your car.

So sad to hear you had such an awful experience at Caliber Collision. I work at Caliber Collision in Iowa and we work great with Geico. So sad that not all Caliber Collisions care like we do here. I hope they make it right :(

Geico will make them use second hand parts to repair. I’d be willing to bet the auto shop was made by insurance to used parts. They did me like that on my two month old Kia Forte that I had. Good luck.

When i got my car fixed all that information was sent to me and anytime they needed to add something to fix i got a email with the paperwork and the price. Thats what they should have done for you

Caliber collision sucks . They had my car for 4 weeks and when I went to pick it up it still wasn’t right.

Chat gpt… got 5k from a dealership for not being honest. Tell them the state copy of your insurance contract and the info from them. See who to file complaints to in your state. Better business bureau insurance commissioner whoever. State codes trump your insurance policy verbage. I would contact the factory and ask if there standard is to have working sensors… email forward to whomever you talked to.

Keep calling and take it higher if they aren’t giving you what you want. Also the shop should give you a copy of the estimate with everything they fixed on there.

I have GEICO & drive a 4Runner. Someone backed in to me smashed my taillight & cracked my bumper. Right after the accident before insurance looked at it I realized the back window mechanics were broken & doesn’t roll down properly. GEICO told me that they can’t prove that’s from the accident & wouldn’t cover it 😒

We had a car catch fire in our driveway in April and melt the front end of my car BOTH cars had full coverage on them and the body shop told them it totaled and were still getting the run around and making payment on a car we will never get back. Trade ya!
