All of the stoppers like the one you tossed are controlled by the lever behind the faucet and pivot rod underneath. If you pull it out, you'll be leaking water every time you use the sink. You'll also need a cap for the hole that the pivot rod ball fits into. In other words, don't to home repairs or replacements based on a tik tok ad.
