It's crazy how ppl will be ok with other games having a crazy skill ceiling but the moment a fighting game does its a problem and it should be dumb down. Like it doesn't make sense that SOME gamers are ok with having a negative KDA in a shooter and will spend years in aimlabs but practicing to be better in a fighting game is tedious? Like spawning and dying is more fun to you?

i suck at fighting games. Never really trained combos or anything but I still had fun playing 200 hours of lower ranks in Fighterz against equally bad players. People these days just dont allow themselves to be bad at something

My main issue with fighting game (not saying it’s a bad thing, just why I don’t play them) is that they aren’t very fun to play if you aren’t good at them. At least with other genres, you can pick them up and have a good time.

If I wasn’t already a decade+ deep into fighting games I probably would feel the same way as most casuals do. The online community for these games suck and the new player experience for most games is awful. A lot of fighting game devs miss the mark that games are supposed to be fun at the start not 10+ odd hours into it.

The problem I have with fight games is that it has the same problem as fortnite. The skill/time gap just keeps increasing and it makes it way harder for new/returning players to enjoy. You don't learn anything if you get steamrolled and it's almost impossible to know every match up and know all frame data for people who have lives outside of the game. Also a lot of resources are outdated because of updates.

There's a huge part he's missing. You don't need to practice at all to "PLAY" basketball. Each individual skill can be learned through play and every skill is "PLAY". Dribbling the ball and trying to do moves is fun in itself. You never even need to shoot it.

Fighting game communities are elitist and unapproachable. Fighting games in general are unapproachable, and that sucks cause companies keep defaulting to making a fighting game for their shows.

I dont know what frame data is, I don't hit the lab, I don't watch character guides, I don't know matchups, I dont practice or warm up, I use the single combo I know and if I lose the game is ASS
