I always call Him "Our Father in heaven," and I end my prayers in the name of Jesus Christ. It's not because I don't know His holly name, but because I want to follow the way Jesus taught us to pray. When His disciples asked Him how to pray, Jesus began with, "Our Father in heaven...To me, calling God "Father" is more than a title it's a relationship. A child comes to their father with trust, not fear. Jesus reinforced this when He said, "Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?" If earthly fathers know how to give good gifts to their children, how much more will our Father in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him. That is why I always come before Him as His child, trusting in His love, and I offer every prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.
