I love Abbey’s method but I wish she made some recommendations that focus on moisture rather than damage repair at every step. I feel like my hair gets too frizzy if I only use damage repair products.

She literally says in the video she’s just reorganizing the shampoo’s so they aren’t as confusing - she acknowledged it was confusing. She even says in other videos you really only need 3 products so I don’t think it’s that confusing unless you just want to do every single step.

✨ I used to be a fan of hers on YouTube, but now with her method, I don’t like that she doesn’t explain the pros and cons of what each product does and why it does it and how it interacts with other things or interacts with your hair or potential problems that you have with your hair… I’ve commented on a few of her videos about how coconut oil doesn’t work well for some hair types because it does keep moisture in, but it also seals the cuticle and doesn’t let moisture in so your hair can feel greasy and dry… every time I comment that it’s deleted or someone seemingly on her team is challenging my comment… so while the method works for people, most people don’t have the information required to understand why and what these products are and the potential problems you can face with some of these product products… and some of those problems could cause you damage if you don’t know why it’s happening

how is it confusing? and why is it bad that it is changing? your hair changes with age, it even changed with diet, stress and even seasons of the year, why the products you use should not change then? companies develop new products all the time, why keep using the same when better ones can be created? even if you try to not change the product companies change the formula or discontinue old products all the time...
