So what is a seller supposed to do when prices are not coming down across the nation? Moving across the country - trying to sell our home and we need at least a certain number from our sale in order to even think about buying a home in the new area? (moving due to job relocation) Lots of showings, have had a few offers now..one fell through due to timing and the other fell through due to them not working with us to pay for brand new roof replacement paid out of escrow by us. It seems like buyers want the sellers to do a complete remodel before buying and honestly that is ridiculous in most cases and not realistic. If we did a complete remodel we could price it at and sell at 100k more than what we are currently listed at. (Market has shown compareable homes selling for that currently in the last month) 😞 it is very discouraging to say the least right now

Houses all over the country are not selling because the economy is stagnant and there is a great deal of uncertainty. If sellers can hold on then keep the house if not take the price reduction if they can afford to do so. Agents on here with this message that it’s price only are wrong. 95% of the time the seller users the agents price based on the analysis they done so this message is frustrating to hear from agents for both sellers and buyer.

Not always true. My neighbor just sold in less than 30 days for $850k. My house is down to $679k and been on the market since April. Similar properties. Homes.com says $743k (averaged) should be my list. Idk how accurate that is, but it happens to be double the assessed value.

I went from 335k to 275k and still couldn't sell within 70 days. townhomes are still sitting for over 200 days in my market. 200 days is insane for the deep price cuts I'm seeing for our townhomes in this market. price isn't everything..bought in 2018 as well

In todays market, how do we know the best price to sell? Are Zillow estimates comparable to price they should be listed?

This is true ! The house down tge same street sold for $325,000 and my listing is still sitting at $338,000 days on market 125. Seller still hasn’t decided to drop price because he does not have much equity
