As a 8th houser too, absolutely have had this happen in the beginning of relationships or dating where Iโm showered with things I donโt want instead of the closeness or intimacy I seek. Iโll be grateful for a lil free gift here & there but I donโt think Iโll ever let someone have financial control over my life, it scares me. ๐

Planets in the 8H will never be controlled by the individualโs own influence. Other ppl will always dominate those planets, even Sun. Thatโs why some 8H Sun ppl like to be alone or hidden: they literally need a break :/

Everytime I see people speaking up HONESTLY about the 8h I almost cry. I started a page about a lot of the 8th misconceptions. Like this is not a fun house at all to have in your chart.

This! I have an 8th house stellium to and I always remind ppl that yes you can be taken care of but it has to be THE RIGHT PERSON! Bc financial abuse is real. And I also consider โother peopleโs resourcesโ of the 8th house to also be the Universeโs resources and I receive through the universe

I am so glad you are speaking on this. I have Gemini moon, mars, Venus, and vertex. Financial control, power struggles, projection, narc abuse are a lot of themes in my life. I have been able to persevere but people donโt see the challenges that led to any personal accomplishments.

Iโm glad you posted this. I have Venus, mars, and Mercury in the 8th. Ever since i found out that the 8th house is called a house of โshared resourcesโ, Iโve felt extremely uncomfortable. Iโve made sure that I wonโt have to rely on another person financially in my adult life, and it feels very scary to have to rely on someone else. It worries me that I may be doing something wrong (especially during tough financial times like now) but I just wonโt do it. I do like being able to take care of others though, so maybe thatโs what it means for me?

My husband and I both have 8th house stelliums. He has Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto & I have Mercury, mars, Venus. He supports me financially. Does it come at a price? Yes but itโs a price I can live with and what DOESNT come at a price? I feel like being human is just a giant existential trust fall anyway
