The only reason i wouldn’t recommend this is that you potentially waste breast milk if they don’t finish the bottle. What do you do in that situation? I ended up doing breast milk OR formula in each bottle just to avoid this. Or I’d give the milk first and then formula from a pitcher in the fridge if they were still hungry. You’re doing great!!! It’s so hard.

I combo fed from day 1. I couldn’t get her to latch so I had to supplement with formula until my milk fully came in. When it did I pumped but she had already gotten used to how filling the formula was. When I tried to give her just breast milk she was so upset!

I recently started doing BM/formula combo since my daughter is a gremlin and eats faster than I can produce and it’s a life changer she seems more full snd stays full longer

I’ve had to supplement at times throughout my breastfeeding/pumping journey and I’ve learned to accept it’s okay!!!! There’s nothing wrong with it especially when we’re truly just trying our best 🥰

Not controversial. My baby is a preemie and in the NICU and for after care (now) I have been advised to mix her breast milk with formula. Hers is the 22 calorie for preemies but same concept

Started trialing this for then I go back to work cause i EFB and don't have much of a freezer stash. My son literally gagged sooooo hopefully we can get there by the end of the month 😭

I got back to back sinus infections and the medicine caused my supply to drop at 11 months. Will mix formula and breastmilk for her first and last bottles till we switch to whole milk at a year.

Tip: powdered formula isn’t sterilized. Make sure you guys boil that water first then add the powder. I’m 3 kids in and just found this out 🤯
