Listen, keep your head down, close your door, and teach those kids. Don’t get involved with the gossip or politics or drama. We’re there to teach the kids, and slowly but surely you’ll find people who believe the same. Stick with those people. If you stay above the drama, I promise good admin will notice and the ones that don’t do not matter. You got this!

I'm a student teacher, my dad's a teacher. He always tells me not to go in the break room unless it's to grab my lunch and go back to the classroom 🙃 he's warned me so much about it 😭 and not to add anyone on social media too

You definitely have to find your people, and it can take some time. I've been in the same building for 7 years and all I can say is that the right people are there for the right reasons, the wrong ones don't last long. Unfortunately, mean people are kind of everywhere 😩
