YES I was so unmotivated to get in shape until I booked a trip to New Zealand, where I planned to do a ton of hiking. The last thing I wanted to do was be limited in what I could physically do/enjoy while on this once in a lifetime trip, so training for it was way easier than just “exercising to get in shape”

Having the same experience currently training to hike the Tour du Mont Blanc in September. Having something like that to work towards has truly done wonders for my fitness and overall health.

I lost over 100 lbs while training for my first half marathon. I was raising money for the leukemia and lymphoma society so I didn’t want to let anyone down! It was a great motivator!

I think I need a training plan…for someone who over exercised and destroyed her cartilage behind her kneecaps. 😩 I need to lose like 25 lbs.
