@weloveeyesxo: Replying to @caroliina_garciia8 👁️ Hi, I’m Dr. Tanya Gill, optometrist. Eye care tips for when you have a stubborn chalazion and what to do. Eye Care Tip 1: A stubborn chalazion, by definition, means the chalazion debris is not draining properly. This is an exit site problem. Eye Care Tip 2: In cases like this, my goal is to help patients reestablish the exit site. I do this in the exam room, then have my patients continue at home once a day before bedtime using my MGD Cleansing System: ✔️ Roll the heat ✔️ Scrub the exit site open ✔️ Wash to help rebalance the eyelid skin barrier Eye Care Tip 3: The exit site closes because your body naturally wants to heal itself—and it does a great job. Unfortunately, once that exit site seals over, the debris cannot drain properly. That’s why hot compresses, eyelid wipes, and medicated ointments often don’t resolve a stubborn chalazion on their own. #Chalazion #MGD #DryEye #EyeCareTips #Optometrist Results may vary. This is not medical advice. This content is for educational and entertainment purposes only. Always use a 10× lighted magnifying mirror when using the Eyelid Margin Scrub Brush. Do not use Focused Eye Roll if you have corneal disease, glaucoma, retinal disease, or a history of eye surgery.
