im sorry but I wouldn't even think about taking the lt1, if you had me choose that over the 3800 id take the v6 anyday, way too many problems with the LT1

The lt1 was the SBC perfected in my book. Sounds amazing, works like any small block, it’s only real flaw was the opti. The ls, is also a great platform however. And just as responsive to mods, however stock for stock I’ll go with the lt1, specifically over sound. The lt1 sounds better than the ls1

LTs run great when they’re right, however are way higher maintenance. Not coil on plug, stupidass Optispark design…. They require a lot but they still put out

the lt1 was and til this day garbage due to optispark with a water pump over top of it. gen 3 small blocks ls are the staple of swaps in anything and bullet proof in my opinion. If a stock bottom end can take 1000 h.p all day it get my vote.

Loved the 93 to 97 Camaro front end and the 98 to 2002 Trans Am front end. Best 4th gen looks in my opinion.

LS1 will outperform the LT1. whoopdy doo the LT1 sounds mean but there not worth putting money into. The LS is cheaper and still sounds good. rather not have opti spark✌️

Just my personal preference dont get upset I just feel what ive seen as far as small block gm ls is bulletproof and still one of the most sought after blocks ever. Its rare anyone is looking for an lt1
