@casagrella: DIY light-up ghost pumpkins These DIY light-up ghost pumpkins are one of my favorite Halloween crafts! They are surprisingly easy to make. Add LED lights inside for the perfect spooky glow on your porch, entryway, mantel, or Halloween display. You'll need: • 3.5 to 4 Ibs air-dry clay • Plastic pumpkins (any size) • Large round plate or bowl to trace • Parchment paper • Rolling pin • Water • Pizza cutter or clay blade • Foam cutter (linked) • Battery-operated LED lights or tea lights How to make them: 1. Roll out the air-dry clay on parchment paper. 2. Trace and cut a large circle. I used 11" and 13" plates over 6" plastic pumpkins. The 13" size gave the best drape. 3. Gently place the clay over the pumpkin. 4. Smooth the clay with a little water. 5. Use a foam cutter to cut out the ghost's eyes and mouth once the clay has firmed up slightly. 6. Let dry completely. 7. Add battery-operated LED lights inside for a glowing ghost effect. How to make them: 1. Roll out the air-dry clay on parchment paper. 2. Trace and cut a large circle. Drying tips: • Let the clay dry for 2 to 3 days. • Keep it out of direct sun and away from drafts. • Cover loosely with plastic while drying. • If cracks appear, mix a little clay with water to create a paste and patch them.
