As a graduating law student, this is just my opinion, but I honestly don’t see anything wrong with the defense lawyer objecting. From what I watched, some of the prosecutor’s questions were objectionable. If a question doesn’t comply with the Rules of Evidence or proper procedure, the defense is supposed to object. That’s literally part of a lawyer’s job. At the end of the day, it’s still the judge who decides whether the objection has merit.
