Maybe next time you do the color that your child actually wants and not the color you guiled her into doing. You know that bold purple would’ve been a lot more fun than this grey looking color because that’s more gray than purple.

My mom let me paint my room whatever I wanted when I was a kid so I went with the brightest fkn green I could find. Didn’t even argue or try to change my mind. She was happy that I was happy I could express myself in my own private space🤷♀️

As someone who wanted a purple room (i am a purple person)and my parents purchased the paint ( in a WAY light shade-bc it was more acceptableto them)..... I hated it. I still hate it 30 years later. i wanted a bold purple bedroom , and I got Grey under the guise of being purple. it was the same as what you just did.

I’m so glad my parents let me choose my colors and paint my room bright purple, blue & green. My room was my happy place and was calming because the colors were my favorite and made me happy, triggering dopamine and serotonin. They didn’t hype me up just because they were bright.

My one daughter had lime green and dark purple walls. My other daughter had bright hot pink. We let them pick out the colors because it was their room.
