@housefullofboyz: The cycle ends with me. ❤️ Too often, we see broken adults raising children the same way they were raised. The yelling. The hurtful words. The “my parents did worse to me” mindset. The pain gets passed down, and the child grows up carrying wounds they never should have had. Children should never have to heal from things their parents had the power to change. I know life isn’t easy, and nobody is perfect. Trust me I know, when I look back at my childhood, I see moments where I needed someone to protect me, guide me, and show up for me but no one was there. I grew up faster than I should have. I carried things as a child that no child should have had to carry. As an adult, I had to find my own way to heal and that changed my life. I’m still healing. I’m still growing.
