Nah dawg, I wanna be in my living room. I just don't want to pay for online or full price on games. I also want the vast library that Steam offers. I also hate paying full price for games. That last Winter Steam sale set me up with games for the next year or two.

if they really want to win back players, getting rid of the "buying isn't owning" policy would be the best place to start. also walking back the recent no more physical copies thing they just announced would be a good place to look.

look. I went to console for one reason: I got tired of upgrading my PC's video card every 18 months in order to play the latest games. that logic still holds.

Don’t take away the discs? If the next console is digital only I’m out. The ps5 let me put my collection of ps4 games in it. If that stops I’ll have to re buy everything and I won’t do that

Playstation could never get back players for multiple reasons but the most important 1 id is beacuse that they ask to buy their subsciption for online play witch PC dosent

Won't matter. The price isn't worth it. I'm not paying $700 every few years, when I pay $700 for a PC once that lasts 7-10 years.

All Consoles have to do to compete with PC is go back to what made them compete for the last 30 years in the first place. Be the cost effective option. The PS2 was $300 on launch, a PC that could provide the same gaming performance (in 2000) was ~$800 minimum. The PS5 Pro is now $800, a PC with the same performance is ~$1000. With the affordability window getting smaller and smaller there's simply less reason to buy a console with each generation.
