I’m on 1952 so if I reach 2080 could I then give up working and still get full pension when I’m 66 yrs old ?

A lot of women don't realise that you can claim pension credit for the first 12 years of each child you have if you were a stay at home parent. So if you had 1 child and had another after 5 years and didn't work outside the home. You can claim 17 years pension credits.

Its increased from 520 credits to 2080, and will be fully implemented in 2035. Its a transition phase at the min. i cant understand why people are not screaming about the TCA, an increase from 10 years contributions to 40 years is insane.

request it because if there're any errors better to fix them ahead of your pension date because revenue do make mistakes but it's easily resolved

If I was off sick for 6 months last year, will that affect my credits. I’m 59 and have worked in the same job since I was 19. Thank you.

I’m 56 and just received mine today. As of end 2025, I have 2029 credits. So by end 2026 I’ll just have enough 🥳

I didn’t work when my kids were young & then stopped working to care for my partner until he died which was about 8 years. So it seems like I probably won’t get full pension

I’ll only have just under 1000 by the time I retire. What does that translate to in state pension amount ?
