After 20 years of hardtop convertibles, it's difficult for SL drivers to go back to fabric roofs . Even the stereo system has better acoutics from a quieter fixed cabin. The crazy part: these SL's were lighter with bigger trunks than today's SL's. Driving a car with a fabric roof feels like driving a car with fabric doors .
