I literally was telling people this! This show could’ve been my comfort show if they had the whole show set in LA, her glam girly lifestyle there. This show was such a disappointment!

my mum made a good idea of what they could’ve done,, elle could’ve come from new money and they could’ve shown how she built up this persona of “elle” overtime

They should’ve just done a campy show about her teenage life in LA, like the Cher Clueless show in the 90s. If they were set on doing this plot though, they could’ve said it’s a reimagining and not tied to the canon film, but nope, they insist that it’s a canon prequel despite how it makes no sense.

Pink is kinda her superpower. They could have shown us WHY and HOW she fell in love with it and embraces it over time. Like give us the grey version at the start and make her find her color, while she discovers her character and it gets pinker over time 💗

No I completely agree! I enjoyed the series separately and I did like the characters but i absolutely love legally blonde and at times the timeline just wasn’t adding up. Also *spoilers** (in case no one has watched it) They tried to recreate her iconic court scene in the movie in the school and tried to foreshadow her future as a lawyer didn’t make sense to me because technically she only went to Harvard to spite Warner. She’s a fashion enthusiast.. so when she’s turned down the golden globes for Seattle I was like.. Sorry?! I don’t understand the trend to make remake a series or movie from a beloved classic but it’s a completely different universe?? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it but that’s my opinion 🤷🏽♀️

I honestly refuse to watch it. Legally blonde has been my absolute favourite movie for years and this series just doesn’t really make sense… it was needed and if they were to do it at least they could’ve made it make sense

But she didn’t lose her development, her applying to Harvard and thinking she’d get in fits into the character development of her thinking she can mesh into any environment she chooses, her being okay with being the only one wearing a costume at Harvard fits into learning not to care of others opinions, her being able to meet people where they are fits this series , there’s a lot of things here that influences how she goes through life , even how she handled Vivian in the movie is like her remembering Kimberly and not letting her steal her light like she did in the series .

I actually loved the series!!🥹💖🎀 I think it gives more of her “lawyer” side than fashion side as we get to see that in Legally Blonde a little more!! Her Lawyer side was shining through the whole time ✨🥰

If they did this series as a separate thing from the movie, not even related to it but more inspired by it. It would have been great! And the ending could be she stay in Seattle still bubbly and pink and girly but able to go between the different worlds with the acceptance of people who prefer different things or different views and being able be different people but still being friends and each person keeps their individuality and be true to themselves….If that makes sense

The Barbie movie enraged me! I was so excited for a pink Barbie girlie girl movie! I threw a Barbie themed party, all my friends dressed up like Barbie, we went to the movies and I sat in the theater and my world deflated. I just wanted a girl to love being pink and that be okay! The Barbie movie didn’t need to have some deep meaning
