VAR got involved here but did not get involved in the shirt pull by McAllister and tackle on Salah for penalties. Been saying for years there is a problem with VAR/Ref/FIFA when it comes to Argentina.

if it was a foul he should've stopped play. he waited to see what would happen before reviewing it. if egypt didn't score and the ball just turned over, 100% he would not go back and give the foul.

He called it saying "that doesnt happen the other way". Same situation, possible foul on Mo Salah then Argentina went on to score. Not even VAR check...FIFA not even hiding it anymore.

VAR wasn't consistent. When the same FOUL happened against Egypt, the refree didn't bother to check VAR. The refree was Argentina's 12th player.

It’s standard for VAR to check the APP (Attacking Possession Phase) which started when the Argentina player was fouled. The goal needs to be clean from the start of the APP to the goal. VAR was correct in not allowing the goal.
