Since it’s a charge card, American Express reduced how much they were willing to let me spend. Honestly, I’m okay with that. Credit is built on trust. If a lender sees a change in your financial habits, they may adjust how much credit they’re willing to extend. The good news is that trust can often be rebuilt. My plan is simple: pay the balance down, get back to my normal spending habits, and continue showing responsible use over time. This is proof that nobody’s credit journey is perfect.
