@jhgcentre: Over the period of 100 days in 1994, between 800 000 and 1 million Tutsi and moderate Hutu were murdered. What remains is what they were wearing and carrying. Objects that give us a glimpse into the people who owned them also remind us that every victim was an individual. They come from the Genocide Memorial sites of Nyamata and Ntarama – both once Catholic Churches. Together they form the JHGC’s Memorial to the Victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. As the annual 100 days of remembrance for the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda comes to an end, the work of remembering and honouring the victims and survivors continues. #Kwibuka #1994GenocideAgainstTheTutsi #Rwanda

Already a haunting memorial but the Bart Simpson shirt really got me. Always appreciate when memorials/exhibitions are shared online so the whole world can experience.
