Stainless steel for everything that touches the waste, as well as the inside of the waste pull out drawer thingy. Everything else plastic in pretty colors😁

this is so great! just wondering how to deeeep clean it, especially the part that collects clean litter while rotating it. I have 3 cats and 1 automatic litter box. it being automatic is great but washing it is a nightmare

I think it really depends on how much it will spike the costs. this would be life changing but already $200 for the plastic one is steep- if theres parts that you're confident never touch waste at all that would help keep costs down, I'm all for it.

Some thoughts 🐾: the waste catcher needs to be bigger (to handle multiple cats). The step to get into the box should also be wider, and maybe look into a ramp add on or steps for older/smaller cats. The actual step in area (the curve of the moon so to speak) is VERY high and older/skittish/smaller cats would struggle getting into the box. Any like everyone else has said, stainless steel for the liner and inside the catching bin for better odor control. I am a LitterRobot 4 owner and this Moonbox is SUPER interesting to me. Will deff be signing up for the waitlist! 😸

Full stainless steel would be too expensive to mass produce so only having it in areas that make contact with the litter or cat waste would be great!

I feel like the inside should be stainless steel where the waste touches and then your outside could be plastic so that you can still have the sleek effect

fewer people are voting for partial stainless - but of course it'll keep the cost lower if the parts that don't come into contact with urine are made out of a cheaper material. what matters is that all the parts in contact with urine are stainless and easy to wash. after that the next priority is keeping the cost low.

I think the inside lining should at least be stainless steel, not just the bars. But it doesn’t have to be the entire thing as stainless steel, just where the litter and waste sit. Super excited for this either way!

my biggest concern about this is the way the panels are segmented. my cat likes to back her ahh up to a wall and pee straight back. she'd pee straight into the cracks and I know it. do you do anything to seal the edges of the panels and the corners where things are joined to make them water tight and washable? or would i have to rip it apart to clean the interior of the panels?
